text
The project explores the possibility of creating curvature with tessellation origami, with the goal of creating free-form surfaces. I researched different folding patterns and chose the one that seemed the most promising to me, having the least geometrical constraints.
The most work went into figuring out the geometry and constraints of folding. In the end I developed a module that reacts to the curvature of the reference surface and can be developed iteratively to form a continuous folded surface.
